The instruments RF651 (LED) and RF656 (Laser) are designed for non-contact measurement and control of position and dimensoins (diameter, thickness, gaps) of technological objects as well as for measuring levels of liquid and bulk materials .
The device operation is based on a "shadow" method. The micrometer consist of two modules: transmitter 1 and receiver 2. Radiation of diode 3 going out from the module 1 is formed by an optical system 4. Shadow image of the object 5 is constructed by a telescopic system 6 of the receiver 2 on the surface of linear CCD array 7. Signal processor calculates the object size of the image.
