Bearing puller trolley
The trolley is used to pull cartridge bearings from the journal boxes of wheel/axle sets on rolling stock.
The puller trolley comprises:
A frame of tubular steel members mounted on 4 Vee grooved steel wheels rolling on ways. The front of the frame incorporates a bracket for the puller unit, and the rear has 2 uprights handgrips for manoeuvring the trolley.
Essentially a carriage mounted slidab1y to 4 vertical steel columns and driven by 2 hydraulic cylinders. The operating height is variable through 500 mm from a minimum height of 600 mm above ground (maximum overall height 1100 mm).
The carriage carries a double-acting hydraulic puller cylinder capable of 100 tonnes thrust at 300 bars and with a stroke of 250 mm.
The jaw holder head is flange mounted to the puller cylinder end cap and consists of a plate with slide ways for the jaw holders, which are secured by way of appropriate spacers. Each holder is actuated by a hydraulic cylinder with a stroke of 125 mm.
Consists of a panel mounted to the trolley alongside the hydraulic
power unit, and a button pendant.
The panel is equipped with a main switch and a voltage indicator located on the door, and contains all the electrical components necessary for operation of the hydraulic power unit.

The trolley also includes a power supply cable winder.
HYDRAULIC POWER UNIT
Mounted to the base of the trolley, behind the puller unit, this includes:
A protective hoop hinged to the plate of the jaw holder head by means of a connecting rod encircles the jaws when closed. This allows the operator to proceed with the pulling operation in safety.
The trolley can be equipped with different pairs of clamping jaws dimensioned according to the requirements of the client, and a ] 00 kg swing hoist with grippers for seizing and handling the pulled component.
